Environmental, Social and Governance
At Polar Technology, we make a positive difference that makes the world a safer and more sustainable place, through our combination of exceptional people, innovative engineering and world-class manufacturing. We are passionate about the role that our technology, product design and manufacturing philosophy have in being part of the solution to the global challenge of arriving at a future of net zero CO2 emissions, with our products addressing common issues shared across our end-markets, including saving fuel, reducing emissions, improving efficiency and enhancing durability.
Alongside this, we are proud to be an active part of the UK supply chain and the local Oxfordshire economy, engaging in community initiatives and year-round charity fundraising campaigns. Led by our experienced leadership team, we are committed to continually improving quality and productivity, with ongoing investment into our supply chain development and the implementation of more effective planning tools, new product implementation procedures and shop floor data capture. Finally, our culture is employee-led, built on a strong Employee Value Proposition and our core values of dedication, empowerment, innovation and integrity.
The trajectory to net zero CO2 emissions by 2050 across all economic sectors requires basic principles which we believe Polar Technology’s products address:
Our Sustainability Promise

As a manufacturing company, we recognise that our activity has an impact on the finite resources of our planet and on the environment. The lifecycle of products, from materials extraction through transport and transformation to a use phase and subsequent disposal or reuse, does not currently occur in a manner that is sustainable in the long term. This is a fact which we do not shy away from and we recognise our responsibility in continually striving to reduce the environmental impact that our activities have.
We are proud of our ISO:14001 certification, which is testament to our commitment to use low energy equipment wherever possible, apply a full-rounded waste hierarchy across the organisation and constantly monitor our processes to save waste.
Looking forward, we are engaging with Second Life recycling projects, improving how we track and report our carbon footprint, and continuing our investment into research and development projects that find long-term sustainable solutions, including hydrogen storage and erosion-resistant composite components for eVTOL applications.
